Bluem & SurePay:

A special partnership & a new customer journey.

Important changes to our partnership with SurePay
Since June 2019, Bluem and SurePay have been working together on the IBAN Name Check Service to prevent payment fraud and improve business processes. This partnership is now being renewed with some changes that may affect your use of this service.

What is changing?

Bluem will now act as a solution partner instead of a reseller

Nothing changes technically, operationally or accounting. Bluem remains your point of contact for the service from A to Z.

What is new is that your compliance is now also screened by SurePay.

You must be successfully screened by SurePay by December 31, 2024 to continue using the service.

From January 1, 2025, new rates of €0.50 per IBAN Name Check will apply.

No technical changes or development capacity are required.

What should you do?

  1. Do you want to continue with the IBAN Name Check Service (which we of course assume)? Register via the Bluem-SurePay form: Registration form.
  2. If you unexpectedly decide to stop the service? Let us know by email info@bluem.nl and we will arrange further handling.


Note: Please register before December 14, 2024 to ensure your screening is completed in time for the end of the year.

Why these changes?

The adjustments in the partnership between Bluem and SurePay are intended to meet stricter compliance requirements and to guarantee even better service. By allowing SurePay to maintain a direct compliance relationship with end users, the customer acceptance process is simplified and made more transparent. As your solution partner, Bluem continues to ensure seamless integration, services and invoicing, so that you can continue to use the IBAN Name Check Service without (technical) adjustments. Bluem remains your point of contact for the service.

What does it mean for you?

For most users, nothing will change operationally: you will continue to use the IBAN Name Check Service via Bluem as you are used to. The only difference is that SurePay will be directly responsible for the customer acceptance process and new rates will apply from January 1, 2025. This approach ensures that the service remains reliable, compliant and future-proof.

Action required before December 31, 2024

To ensure that you can continue to use the IBAN Name Check Service without interruption, it is essential that you complete the customer acceptance process with Bluem - SurePay before December 31, 2024. This process is simple and requires no technical effort on your part. Register in time to avoid complications and benefit from a smooth transition to the new collaboration.
