What is an emandate?
With emandates, not only consumers, but also companies can issue online a direct debit mandate via internet banking. A handwritten signature is no longer the only way to issue a valid authorization for direct debit. The emandate process is very similar to that of iDEAL.
Emandates are not only easier and faster than a paper authorization, but also offers more assurance, because it is no longer possible to enter incorrect account numbers. It also reduces your collection risk from 13 months to 56 days for CORE (standard collection) and 0 days for B2B (business collection).
On paper, a B2B direct debit costs a lot of time and effort, but that is a thing of the past with emandates. Four simple steps for getting an emandate:
• The customer orders a product (online) or concludes an agreement. It is agreed that payment is made via direct debit.
• On the emandate page he chooses his bank and is send directly to the familiar internet banking environment. Here the authorization is ready to be approved.
• The customer confirms the emandate with 1-click; your company is automatically added as a creditor to the 'approval list' within the customer's banking environment. The customer does not have to do anything for this.
• The customer returns to your website and via our viamijnbank gateway your company receives the emandate real-time (this is a SEPA file) including IBAN. You can immediately send the first direct debit order for this customer to your home bank.
New emandate also for direct debt customers whose bank account changes
The account number of an existing customer changes. This means that a new authorization is required (ie authorization is linked to the account number). What to do now? With our Dashboard, you can immediately create a new mandate request and send it to the customer. This only needs to be approved, so that a legally valid SEPA emandate is created. This can be arranged in a minute (while you have the customer on the phone). Easy for your company and for the customer.
Emandates is much faster than the old process of sending a SEPA mandate paper form, waiting for a completed and signed copy to be return and to be processed.
